Communication is critical to our success.  With a popluation of over 5,000 students, seven schools (with another under construction), and changes too numerous to mention ... as well as fiscal constraints that prompt us to look at the most cost effective ways of conducting business .... online tools, such as this one, are important elements in our effort to comunicate with our stakeholders.

 Communicating via the Internet can take a variety of forms.  BLOG sites are often used to facilitate two-way communication in a public forum.  While I am in favor of two-way communication that serves to inform and enlighten large numbers of people very quickly, I also know that the process requires time and resources to be truly effective.  While this site isn't a true BLOG, it does provide a forum for presentation of issues that we feel our education partners will appreciate knowing more about.

We are all inundated with information, so my goal will be to be brief and only share information of value that isn't covered readily in the media or via other formats we use to share infomration. I expect to offer updates several times each month or as the need arises.  If you feel strongly about an issue or have a particular topic in mind for this site, please call my office for an appointment ( 865-982-7121 ) or send us an email  MCS@ci.maryville.tn.us .
